Job summary

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a Structural Fitter for a role in Cullman, AL, involving fabrication and shop assembly of structural steel components such as rails, columns, and stairs. The candidate will interpret shop drawings, measure and weld with various tools, and ensure dimensional accuracy in a fabrication setting.

Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 6am to 4:30pm, with weekly pay and standard benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques.
• Must have experience as a structural/miscellaneous fitter.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to fully read and understand blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Interpret shop drawings to determine layout / assembly procedures.
• Fabrication / shop assembly of structural steel components, ensuring accuracy & adherence to plan dimensions and requirements.
• Fabrication / shop assembly of miscellaneous steel components for stairs, handrails, ladders and more.
• Measure, cut, shape, & tack weld steel materials such as beams, plates, tubes, pipes, etc., using tools such as saws, torches, plasma cutter, and grinders.
• Perform quality checks to verify dimensions, alignment and welds.

Structural Fitter

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Structural Fitter for a company based in Cullman, AL. In this role, you will be working in a fabrication facility to aid and assist with manufacturing rails, columns, stairs, and more.

Monday through Friday, 6am to 4:30pm

Structural Fitter Duties and Responsibilities
