Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Structural Fitters for projects located in the Jennings, LA area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $27+/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope

• Fit structural steel components including beams columns & plate in a fabrication shop environment
• Read & interpret blueprints
• Lay out and measure material accurately
• Fit components to tolerance
• Perform tack welding as needed prior to final weld-out
• Align members
• Prep material
• Check dimensions
• Coordinate with welders to ensure proper joint configuration and structural integrity
• Operate FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, and saw welding processes
• Use flame-cutting equipment and metal-forming tools including brakes shears and presses

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience
