Job summary

A structural fabrication company is looking for an experienced Fitter/Welder in Scottsboro, AL. You will be responsible for fitting, assembling, and welding steel components, ensuring that all work meets the required quality standards. Applicants must have experience in structural steel work, the ability to read and interpret drawings, and a focus on safety. This is a full-time position with hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime on Fridays.

Qualifications

• Experience fitting and welding structural steel components.
• Ability to interpret structural drawings.
• Proficiency in GMAW (MIG) and SMAW (Stick) welding techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• AWS certifications a plus.

• Fit and assemble beams, columns, bracing, and miscellaneous steel per shop drawings.
• Read and interpret structural drawings and weld symbols.
