Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks a Structural Engineering Section Manager in the Atlanta area with regional responsibilities in Georgia and Alabama. This full-time leadership role focuses on growing design capacity, guiding staff, and developing HDR services in structural design.

The candidate will oversee technical teams, prepare proposals, and mentor engineers while traveling regionally as needed to support projects. This position requires a PE license and SE preferred with extensive experience in structural

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 10 years of structural design experience.
Professional registration, license or certification may be required; SE preferred.
Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to manage, lead and mentor other team members.

Responsibilities

Build team technical expertise and design production capacity through recruitment, staff development, and training.
Lead and mentor staff.
Participate in leadership for technical service functions and support the development of HDR services in technical design.
Prepare structural proposals including scope development and estimating hours/fee.
Some regional/national travel will be expected.
