Job summary

DCI Engineers in Anchorage, AK seeks a Structural Engineering Project Manager to lead building projects from conception through completion. The role applies a structural engineering degree and hands-on experience to guide designs, manage staff, and foster client relationships.

You’ll collaborate with engineers and BIM Designers, oversee calculations and construction observations, and ensure timely, high-quality project delivery while developing lasting client partnerships.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of structural design engineering experience.
• PE license required.
• ABET-accredited civil engineering degree required.
• Experience with steel, concrete, wood, and masonry.
• Experience with seismic retrofits and building evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Lead building projects from start to finish.
• Develop, coordinate, and direct the production of engineering project documents.
• Prepare fee proposals and contracts.
• Develop workload and scheduling projections for project staff.
• Oversee calculations, design, and analysis of project elements.
• Coordinate with BIM Designers and engineers on construction documents.
• Perform or oversee construction observations and prepare reports.
• Review shop drawings during construction.
• Manage billing and coordinate permit responses and construction support.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
