Job Overview

As a Structural Engineering Professional Intermediate - NE Region, you will be an integral member of the design team, performing significant portions of structural analysis and design for complex industrial facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Under general supervision, competently perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering analysis and design
    • With guidance and direction, develop judgement in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria
    • Develop engineering judgement and problem‑solving skills, reaching out to others for guidance or confirmation when questions arise
    • Develop knowledge of principles and practices of lateral analysis and design (wind and seismic), including application of required building code provisions
  • Exhibit a high level of attention to detail and quality control
    • Check your own work and seek guidance from peers and seniors when needed
    • Perform calculation checking of other engineers’ work
  • Take responsibility for managing workload, making and keeping commitments, and taking full ownership of assigned work
    • Take complete ownership of your portion of the structural scope, reliably working to meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements
    • When tasks have ill‑defined conditions of satisfaction, take initiative to determine what is needed to meet project and client needs
    • Clearly define your own scope and forecast level of effort required to complete it
    • Identify scope changes and elevate them to your Structural Lead
    • Recognize when help is needed and reach out to peers and senior engineers for guidance
    • Work in a timely, accurate, and cost‑effective manner with strong attention to detail
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
  • At least 2 years of Structural Engineering experience
  • Experience with US building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Home location must be in the Northeast region of the US or Canada
  • Employee must provide required home internet service to meet project performance requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • MS degree in Civil Engineering (emphasis in Structural Engineering) or MS degree in Structural Engineering
  • Experience with Structural Engineering analysis software, Navisworks, and Bluebeam
  • Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures
  • Experience in semiconductor industrial or general industrial facilities
Benefits and Compensation

Base salary range: $74,700.00 – $102,700.00, with pay determined by location and individual factors.
