Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineering Manager (Team Lead) based in Denver, CO. The role combines advanced technical leadership with people management, project delivery accountability, and practice development within the Buildings + Places group.

You will lead a team of structural engineers across commercial, aviation, federal, and industrial markets, guiding design from concept through construction with significant autonomy and visibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited program.
• 8+ years of progressive structural engineering experience (experience plus graduate education may be considered).
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Colorado or ability to obtain via comity within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the structural discipline lead and Quality Control owner for assigned projects.
• Lead structural design on mid-size projects and major scopes on large, complex projects.
• Perform and review advanced structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Provide expertise in seismic analysis and retrofit design, including ASCE 41 and performance-based design.
• Oversee construction administration activities including submittal reviews and site observations.
