Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer based in Los Angeles or Orange, CA. This senior role focuses on seismic design, retrofits, and advanced structural analysis across entertainment, commercial, and government projects.

You will mentor junior engineers, lead moderately sized design tasks, and collaborate with a broad Buildings + Places team on complex infrastructure projects including the LA28 program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and 8 years of experience or equivalency.
• US Citizenship due to federal contract/security requirements.
• Master of Science in structural engineering is preferred.
• Professional license in California (SE) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs structural analysis and design for projects.
• Coordinates work with other design disciplines and prepares contract documents.
• Conducts construction administration and site reviews.
• Author structural reports, assessments, and studies.
