Known globally for technical innovation, sustainability, and complex project delivery, our client designs and executes solutions for some of the world’s most demanding industrial, defense, and civil engineering challenges.
We are seeking a seasoned Lead Structural Engineer / Structural Discipline Manager to take the reins of a high-impact regional practice group.
This is not a traditional engineering role - it is a pivotal leadership opportunity to shape the strategic direction of a premier structural team, direct multi-million-dollar programs, and leverage the backing, resources, and prestige of a global market leader.
Why This Role?
- Lead High-Visibility Projects: Take technical and strategic charge of complex structural engineering solutions across heavy industrial expansions, power generation, advanced manufacturing, defense infrastructure, and dynamic facility systems.
- Autonomy Backed by Global Reach: Enjoy the agility, local culture, and ownership of leading a regional office group while tapping into global multidisciplinary expertise, cutting-edge digital tools (BIM, FEA, dynamic modeling), and deep corporate resources.
- Direct Path to Executive Growth: This position is positioned as a launching pad for high-performing practice leads toward Regional Practice Director, Vice President, or Senior Technical Executive roles within the firm.
- Culture of Excellence & Innovation: Work alongside top-tier talent in an environment that prioritizes mentorship, continuous learning, safety, and sustainable design.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership & EOR: Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) and primary technical authority on complex industrial, infrastructure, and commercial facility projects.
- Practice & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and grow a talented group of structural engineers and designers; champion rigorous QA/QC processes and team career progression.
- Multidisciplinary Delivery: Collaborate closely with project managers, architectural leaders, process engineers, and external client stakeholders to deliver integrated design packages on schedule and within budget.
- Strategic Growth: Partner with regional leadership to support business development initiatives, refine technical proposals, and expand key client relationships.
Who We Are Looking For
- Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred). Active US Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Structural Engineer (SE) license or multi-state reciprocity is highly desirable.
- Proven Expertise: 12–15+ years progressive structural design experience with a strong background in heavy industrial, power, manufacturing, defense, or heavy infrastructure projects.
- Leadership Track Record: 3+ years directly leading structural project teams, managing resource allocations, and driving department quality.
- Technical Software Mastery: Strong proficiency with modern structural design and analysis platforms (STAAD.Pro, RISA, RAM, SAP2000) integrated with Revit BIM workflows.
What Our Client Offers
- Competitive Executive Compensation: Top-market base salary accompanied by performance-based executive bonus incentives.
