KPFF Consulting Engineers in Irvine, CA seeks a summer Structural Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience on real projects under senior engineers. You will help with structural design, calculations, and construction documents while bridging academic learning with practice.

The internship is non-exempt and temporary with a hybrid work model—in-office Monday through Thursday and remote Fridays—offering a $31.50/hour rate plus a monthly stipend for remote work and transit costs.

Qualifications

• Completed bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structures or Architectural Engineering.
• Transcripts must show completed courses in Structural Analysis, Mechanics of Materials, Concrete, and Steel or Wood Design.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in structural design under the guidance of senior engineers on real-world projects.
• Prepare calculations and construction documents for active jobs.
• Participate in project meetings and site visits to learn project delivery.
