Job summary

Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Farmington Hills, MI. The internship offers hands-on experience with our Structural team, assisting in design, analysis, and site observations.

Currently pursuing a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, you will gain exposure to AutoCAD/Revit and contribute to drawings, reports, and problem-solving in a collaborative, employee-owned environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Basic understanding of structural engineering principles.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit is a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and analyzing structural components.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and engineering reports.
• Participate in site visits to observe construction.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Use CAD software and engineering tools to support design development.
• Attend project meetings and contribute to problem solving.
