Job summary

DN is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern in Irving, TX to gain hands-on experience on civil construction projects and support design engineers from conception to completion.

You will assist with preliminary tank designs, drafting, reviewing geotechnical reports, and creating construction information packages, while developing skills in heavy-civil construction and project lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering undergraduate program, structural focus preferred.
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Excellent communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Design Engineers by performing preliminary tank designs and drafting preliminary tank details.
• Review geotechnical project reports and customize project specification language.
• Create project-specific construction information packages for the DN Construction Department.
