Job summary

Providence Engineering is seeking a Summer Intern, Structural to assist with routine engineering work on projects of varying sizes under the supervision of experienced engineers. You will contribute to RCAT-friendly solutions and gain hands-on experience in structural analysis and design.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Structural/Civil/Architectural Eng with structural emphasis
• Junior year status in degree program
• Completed coursework in structural design (concrete, steel, etc.)
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar
• Ability to use Risa 3D, RAM, Tedds or similar structural analysis software
• Ability to present handwritten calculations clearly
• Maintain accurate project records

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine or entry-level engineering tasks
• Assist with engineering calculations and minor designs
• Support multiple concurrent projects for various project managers
• Attend design meetings, construction meetings, and site visits
• Develop communications through correspondence with internal clients
• Comply with company policies and procedures
• Perform other related duties as assigned
