Job summary
VAA LLC is seeking three Structural Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 to work with our Structural team on real client projects for industrial and commercial facilities. You will assist with calculations, analysis and design and gain hands-on experience with drafting drawings and details.
Interns will learn how steel and concrete systems come together, collaborate with engineers and designers, and participate in project meetings and site visits while building practical skills for a future
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Sophomores and juniors are encouraged to apply.
- Interest in structural design and how buildings and industrial facilities come together.
- Curiosity, a positive attitude and a willingness to jump in and learn.
Responsibilities
- Assist with structural calculations, analysis and design.
- Help prepare drawings, plans and details for real client projects.
- Gain experience with structural engineering software and design tools.
- Learn about steel, concrete and other structural systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers and other VAA disciplines.
- Participate in project meetings and site visits.
