GFT in Chicago, IL is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern to gain real-world experience on a range of projects. You will work on a highly collaborative team, performing design tasks under supervision and with access to mentorship from experienced engineers. The program runs mid-May through mid-August.

The role emphasizes learning AutoCAD and Revit, with opportunities to participate in field surveys and shop drawing reviews. Conversion to a full-time role is common.

Competenze

• Enrolled in ABET-accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering, with emphasis in Structural Engineering preferred.
• Prior internship, work, or applied coursework in structural engineering.

Mansioni

• Perform detailed structural calculations under supervision of Lead Structural Engineer.
• Coordinate structural designs using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Collaborate with diverse disciplines and assist in field surveys.
• Review and organize structural shop drawings.
