Job summary

OneFourTwo is seeking a motivated Structural Engineering Intern to join the Houston team for Summer 2027. The intern will support design, drafting, and construction processes under supervision, gaining practical exposure across projects.

The role emphasizes collaboration with drafting staff, clients, and engineers, performing preliminary designs, reviewing codes, and producing construction drawings using Revit.

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
• Enrolled in Civil Engineering degree program (Graduate or Undergraduate).
• Previous internship/co‑op experience is a plus.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with technical drafting staff, clients, and other outside project team members
• Prepare preliminary designs for clients
• Review building codes to assure correct implementation of preparation and design
• Attend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, architect, civil, and mechanical engineers
• Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents for permit submittal as well as construction
• Produce construction ready design drawings using Revit and coordinate with all disciplines to assure complete and accurate alignment
