Job summary

OneFourTwo Design Group is seeking a highly motivated Structural Engineering Intern to join our Atlanta, GA team for Summer 2027. You will assist with design, engineering calculations, and coordination with multiple disciplines to produce construction‑ready drawings.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in Civil Engineering with a minimum 3.0 GPA and prior internship/co‑op experience. The role offers mentorship, hands‑on learning, and exposure to real projects in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Civil Engineering degree program (Graduate or Undergraduate).
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
• Previous construction or engineering internship/co‑op experience is a plus.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with technical drafting staff, clients, and other outside project team members.
• Prepare preliminary designs for clients.
• Review building codes to assure correct implementation of preparation and design.
• Attend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, architect, civil, and mechanical engineers.
• Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents for permit submittal as well as construction.
• Produce construction‑ready design drawings using Revit and coordinate with all disciplines to assure complete and accurate alignment.
