Job summary

IMEG Corp in Dallas–Fort Worth is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for a 10–12 week summer program. You will assist with design for discipline systems, research, client coordination, and documentation under experienced engineers.

This paid internship provides hands-on project work, a mentor, and exposure across civic, education, aviation, infrastructure, and facilities projects. The team supports sustainable design goals and offers growth within a 100% employee-owned firm.

Qualifications

  • Completed at least 2 years toward a BS in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
  • Experience not required or listed as none.
  • Strong interest in design consulting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with project design for discipline systems per code and IMEG standards.
  • Assist with project research and resource gathering.
  • Assist with coordinating design and schedule with other disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, tech, clerical, and suppliers).
  • Assist with documenting design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring progress.
  • Assist with reviewing project documents for accuracy before final check.
  • Assist with preparation and issuance of addendum information.
  • Conduct periodic job site observations and related services.

Over 10-12 weeks, you'll assist in the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of structural systems in buildings and other structures while working alongside experienced engineers and consultants. This is a paid, mentored internship with real project work and hands-on exposure from day one.You'll support project coordination, documentation, and job site observations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to help meet project goals, client expectations, and project budgets.
