Job summary

Mason & Hanger, a Day & Zimmermann Company, in Glen Allen, VA, seeks a Structural Engineering Intern to support the Structural Department by converting marked drawings into CAD/BIM, performing calculations under supervision, and assisting with project submittals.

You will gain hands-on experience in design, drafting, and data handling within a federal-contract environment, contributing to secure, mission-driven facilities.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in college.
Great attitude and team player.
U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
Drug and background screening will be conducted.

Responsibilities

Perform design calculations under supervision of engineers.
Incorporate marked up drawings into CAD/BIM platforms.
Assist in cost estimate preparation.
Assist in assembly of project submittals.
Complying with data protection principles while handling personal, protected and / or Covered Defense Information on behalf of Day & Zimmermann.
