Job summary

EwingCole is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for the Philadelphia office for Summer 2027. The role supports the Structural Discipline by helping design and document structural systems for buildings under the guidance of project engineers.

The intern will use AutoCAD and Revit, review submittals, and develop structural sections and details, while becoming familiar with relevant codes and material design practices.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an ABET program pursuing a BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering with Structural Concentration or Architectural Engineering
• Technical knowledge of engineering principles and their application to the design and analysis of structural systems
• Familiarity with building codes and material design codes as they relate to structural engineering
• Knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to produce structural construction documents.
• Utilize structural software for design and analysis tasks with the guidance of Structural Project Engineers.
• Review submittals.
• Develop structural sections and details.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
