Job summary

GOTAFE is seeking a motivated engineering student for a part-time internship in Irvine, CA. You will provide essential engineering calculations and analysis support under the supervision of a Project Manager or Project Engineer, contributing to a range of structural projects both in the office and on site.

You should be a 3rd or 4th year student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with previous internship exposure and availability to work through the summer.

Qualifications

• 3rd or 4th year engineering student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college.
• Previous internship experience.
• Availability to work through the summer.
• Successful completion of the EIT exam is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic engineering calculations and analysis support under the direction of a Project Manager or Project Engineer.
• Work both in the office and in the field on a variety of structural engineering projects.
• Contribute to projects including Military and Aerospace, Commercial and Industrial Structures, Piers and Sea Walls, Foundations for Tanks and Equipment, Support Structures, and Structural Assessments and Evaluations.
• Work a minimum of 15 hours per week with a flexible schedule between 8 am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
