- Work under the supervision of a licensed engineer, analyze and prepare project designs, calculations, and drawings for steel bridges; pre-cast, pre-stressed concrete bridges; cast-in-place flat slabs; and other structures.
- Effectively apply pre-established design templates.
- Approach tasks with an open mindset; propose innovative solutions to design problems.
- Prepare engineering reports and contract documents for review by a licensed engineer.
- May track and provide initial review tasks of technicians or designers.
- Manage timely completion of multiple assigned tasks.
- Communicate effectively with team members and internal design groups; external communication as required.
- Present proposed design solutions in internal project meetings; contribute to external presentations.
- Participate in marketing campaigns by providing timely resume updates.
- Ensure timely completion of time sheets and expense reports.
- Take ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, developing new skills, and setting personal goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering.
