Overview

Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision of a licensed engineer, analyze and prepare project designs, calculations, and drawings for steel bridges; pre-cast, pre-stressed concrete bridges; cast-in-place flat slabs; and other structures.
  • Effectively apply pre-established design templates.
  • Approach tasks with an open mindset; propose innovative solutions to design problems.
  • Prepare engineering reports and contract documents for review by a licensed engineer.
  • May track and provide initial review tasks of technicians or designers.
  • Manage timely completion of multiple assigned tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and internal design groups; external communication as required.
  • Present proposed design solutions in internal project meetings; contribute to external presentations.
  • Participate in marketing campaigns by providing timely resume updates.
  • Ensure timely completion of time sheets and expense reports.
  • Take ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, developing new skills, and setting personal goals.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering.
