Confidential is seeking a senior civil/structural engineering leader to provide strategic direction, technical oversight, and mentorship for the discipline. The role drives innovation, shapes engineering strategy, and ensures excellence in project execution across design, construction, and commissioning phases.

The candidate will lead design reviews, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure alignment with codes and sustainability goals while maintaining high integrity and communication standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in civil/structural engineering.
• Professional Engineer licensure preferred.
• Extensive civil engineering knowledge, especially in energy sector.
• Advanced proficiency with civil engineering software and tools.
• Strong understanding of codes, regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and technical oversight for civil engineering discipline.
• Perform design reviews, calculations, and deliverables approvals.
• Present deliverables to project teams, leadership, and stakeholders.
• Plan, forecast, and track deliverable progress and schedules.
• Identify scope changes and estimate impacts on effort and schedule.
• Support proposal efforts by evaluating RFPs and estimating deliverables.
• Work independently and mentor junior staff.

A senior leadership position, responsible for providing strategic direction, technical oversight, and mentorship to the civil engineering discipline. You will play a critical role in shaping the organization's engineering strategies, driving innovation, and ensuring excellence in project execution.

Responsibilities:

• Perform building sizing and selection, alternative analyses, and other deliverables.
• Support the engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities.
• Present engineering and design deliverables to project members, cross-functional teams, senior leadership, external vendors, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Plan, forecast, and actualize deliverable progress to support project progress reporting and schedule requirements.
• Identify scope changes and estimate impact to effort and schedule.
• Supports proposal efforts by evaluating RFP scope, identifying list of deliverables, and estimating effort required
• Work is highly independent.
• Prepares, reviews, and approves foundation, structural steel, building, and earthwork calculations, requisitions, studies, reports, BOMs, and designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering, civil engineering, or related field.
• Ten or more (10+) years of experience required.
• Professional Engineer licensure preferred.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in civil engineering principles and practices, particularly in the energy sector.
• Advanced proficiency in emerging civil engineering software and tools.
• Strong understanding of environmental and sustainability considerations.
• Advanced proficiency in geotechnical and structural engineering principles.
• In-depth knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and analytical skills – written and verbal.
• High level of personal integrity.

• Proficient in both written and spoken English.
