Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four year college or university with a bachelor's degree in an engineering specialty.

One year of registered professional structural engineering experience.
Possession of a valid license as a professional structural engineer in the State of Hawaii.
Applicants with a current out-of-state professional structural engineer license must obtain their Hawaii license prior to appointment.
