Job summary

EXP Services Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer to join the Northeast infrastructure team in New York. The selected candidate will design structures, perform analyses, and prepare construction docs for diverse projects across North America.

The role requires a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering with an EIT, 5+ years of experience, and familiarity with AASHTO/bridge design. Proficiency in MicroStation/AutoCAD is preferred. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil/Structural Engineering and EIT certification required.
• New York PE preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible relevant experience
• Knowledge AASHTO and bridge analysis, design and detailing preferred.
• Knowledge of structural analysis software including SAP-CSI, AASHTOWareBrR, LARSA 4D or similar preferred.
• Proficient with MicroStation and AutoCAD preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Structural design for all project types
• Schematic/geometric layout design of new structures
• Perform analysis and design calculations according to the applicable design codes; use computer programs as appropriate
• Conduct load rating analysis
• Prepare plan drawings and details, construction specifications and design calculations
• Conduct on-site inspection, analysis and condition assessment of existing structures
• Construction phase engineering support including reviews of shop drawings and requests for information
• Assist project managers with scoping and budgeting for structural work and be responsible for quality assurance of deliverables
