Job summary

DP Professionals (DPP) in Dayton, OH, seeks a Structural Engineer to design, evaluate, and certify cutting-edge aerospace products and services. Job description

As a Structural Engineer, you'll be using your skills & expertise to design, evaluate, and certify cutting edge products/services. From advanced mission payloads/electronic systems-highly integrated aircraft-orbital/space exploration systems. You'll examine complex metallic & composite structures/systems. Technical duties involve the design/development of new products/processes throughout the product lifecycle.

Must-haves:

  • Understanding of engineering principles and practices
  • Knowledge of Computer Aided Engineering tools
  • Exp working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
  • Static strength analysis experience
  • Classical analysis using industry standard hand calculation methods
  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering or other related discipline and 4 or more years of relevant experience

Preferred:

  • Aircraft Modification Experience
  • Exp in Engineering Simulation using Finite Element structural analysis (FEA) tools (MSC Patran, Nastran, FEMAP, or ANSYS
  • Exp performing fatigue and damage tolerance analysis utilizing tools (NASGRO or AFGROW)
