Job summary

Knobelsdorff Electric Inc. seeks a structural engineer to design, analyze, and optimize mechanical and structural systems for solar energy and battery storage installations.

You will collaborate with KE design and project teams, vendors, and partners to ensure project objectives are met while upholding industry standards. You will perform load analysis, foundation sizing, corrosion assessment, and prepare specifications; manage documentation and field visits as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license preferred, not required.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across design and project teams to meet timelines.
• Serve as SME for design and constructability of foundations, load-carrying members, materials, fasteners, and coatings.
• Engage stakeholders to align mechanical/structural design for PV, BESS, and substation systems.
• Perform load analysis, foundation sizing, and corrosion analysis using CAD/engineering software.
• Prepare specifications for purchases and review installation standards.
• Generate test plans and write reports for projects.
