Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for a major semiconductor project in Taylor, Texas. You will apply your structural design and coordination skills across owner, EOR, vendors, and field teams to keep critical work moving and resolve complex technical issues.

The role emphasizes collaboration across disciplines and adherence to codes, with a competitive salary and benefits package. On-site work with meals provided may be part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
• Progressive structural engineering experience on industrial, semiconductor, mission-critical, manufacturing, or data center projects.
• Experience with structural steel, reinforced and precast concrete, and industrial support systems.
• Knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI standards.
• Ability to coordinate across design and construction teams in a fast-paced Design-Build environment.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Review structural IFC drawings, shop drawings, calculations, and vendor submittals.
• Coordinate with the owner, EOR, contractors, fabricators, and construction teams.
• Resolve RFIs, design clarifications, constructability questions, and field changes.
• Check structural work against project specifications, design intent, and applicable codes.
• Support procurement, fabrication, field installation, commissioning, and closeout.
• Join interdisciplinary coordination with civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and process teams.
• Track engineering issues and help clear schedule constraints and construction milestones.
• Conduct periodic site observations and help address installation and quality concerns.
