Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to support a major Taylor, Texas project. You will review IFC structural drawings, steel and concrete systems, and vendor deliverables while coordinating with Owners, EORs, contractors, fabricators, and construction teams on a large-scale site.

The role emphasizes field observations, resolving RFIs, design clarifications, and keeping deliverables aligned with critical milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Engineering emphasis.
• Structural engineering experience on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong experience with structural steel and reinforced concrete.
• Knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI standards.
• Experience coordinating between design teams and active construction operations.
• Strong communication, technical coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Review IFC structural drawings prepared by the Engineer of Record (EOR).
• Review structural shop drawings, calculations, submittals, and vendor deliverables.
• Coordinate with Owners, EORs, contractors, fabricators, vendors, and construction teams.
• Lead resolution of RFIs, design clarifications, field changes, and constructability issues.
• Support structural steel, reinforced concrete, precast concrete, and specialty support systems.
• Conduct field observations and address structural installation and quality issues.
• Participate in coordination with Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Process teams.
• Help keep engineering deliverables aligned with critical construction milestones.

We are recruiting an experienced Structural Engineer to support a major, large-scale construction project in Taylor, Texas.

This is an excellent opportunity for a structural engineering professional with experience in industrial, advanced manufacturing, mission-critical, semiconductor, or data center construction who enjoys working at the intersection of design and field execution.

What You’ll Do
