Job summary

Nucor Buildings Group in the United States is seeking a Professional Structural Engineer to design all aspects of our metal building systems, ensuring safety, economy, and code compliance across projects.

You will perform frame, bracing, mezzanine, and panel analysis using our proprietary software, collaborate with detailing teams, and review drawings for accuracy. A US PE license or 3–5 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Civil/Architectural Engineering.
• US PE registration or 3–5 years of structural design experience.
• Strong knowledge of structural building codes (IBC, ASCE7, AISI, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Design all aspects of metal building systems, including structural steel, wall and roof panels, secondary members, and stability bracing.
• Use proprietary software for frame, secondary, bracing, crane, mezzanine, and panel analysis.
• Collaborate with detailing department and team members to communicate design requirements and ensure project execution.
• Review and check structural drawings for accuracy.
