Job summary

Nucor Buildings Group in Brigham City, UT is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to design all aspects of metal building systems, including structural steel, wall and roof panels, secondary members, and stability bracing.

You will collaborate with the Detailing Department and other teams to ensure safe, economical, code-compliant designs and to review drawings, while leveraging our on-site fabrication shop to bring designs to life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering required.
• FE exam passed prior to hire date or equivalent.
• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Design all aspects of metal building systems: structural steel, wall/roof panels, secondary members, and stability bracing.
• Use proprietary software to analyze frame, bracing, crane, mezzanine, and panels to ensure structural integrity.
• Collaborate with Detailing Department and other teams to communicate design requirements and ensure project execution.
