Job summary

STOW Group, founded in the US, seeks a Structural Engineer to design conventional and automated racking systems. You will analyze structures, prepare calculations, and ensure compliance with applicable US standards.

Work with PEs, collaborate with Sales and Project Engineers, and support software development while traveling to sites as needed. Travel to Romeoville and Belgium training may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering is required.
PE Certification is required or pursued for licensure.
Experience with cold-formed steel structures or racking structures is preferred.
Experience with SAP2000 or similar is required.
Experience with AutoCAD 2D or similar is required.

Responsibilities

Provide accurate calculations to Sales and Project Engineers during Pre-Sales and design phases.
Analyze and design structures according to US standards (ASCE, AISI, MH16).
Create calculation documents and stamp them with licensed PEs.
Review specifications, layouts, and drawings; design custom parts as needed.
Travel to customer sites occasionally; coordinate with Project Engineers and drafters to produce structural drawings.
