Job summary
Gillespie Precast, LLC in Chestertown, Maryland, is seeking a Structural Engineer (PE) – Precast Concrete to join the team. The role supports design and delivery of precast concrete structures for infrastructure projects, combining structural engineering, design analysis, and technical support for estimating and production.
The ideal candidate has a Civil/Structural degree, preferably a PE license, and experience with reinforced concrete design and precast detailing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- PE license preferred; EIT candidates encouraged to apply.
- Experience with reinforced concrete design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to obtain Maryland PE licensure through reciprocity, if applicable.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze reinforced and precast concrete structures.
- Prepare and (if licensed) stamp engineering calculations and submittals.
- Coordinate shop drawings and production documents.
- Support pre-bid design and estimating efforts.
- Collaborate with sales, production, and project teams.
- Optimize designs for efficiency and manufacturability.
- Review work from external engineering consultants.
- Provide technical support to customers and internal teams.
- Apply ACI, PCI, and ASTM standards.
