Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Structural/Civil/Architectural Engineering with structural emphasis.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 6–8 years of structural engineering experience as a licensed professional.
• Experience designing 10+ story buildings and steel/wood/concrete framing systems.
• 5+ years of AutoDesk Revit BIM software experience.

Responsibilities

• Designs and prepares drawings for all structural systems for building projects.
• Determines size and orientation of structural members via calculations.
• Coordinates designs with architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other disciplines.
• Performs quality control review of structural drawings.
• Writes and edits structural system specifications.
• Attends meetings with owners, clients, and architects; distributes notes.
• Coordinates with authorities to ensure compliance with standards.
• Coordinates with suppliers, contractors, clients for project scope.
• Performs engineering studies and other design analyses.
• Mentors and directs Structural Designers for quality and growth.
• Conducts site surveys and project job site visits during construction.
• Prepares PRs and SIs; responds to RFIs.
• Reviews submittal documents for compliance.
• Assists PM with budgets, cost estimates, schedules, contracts, and billing.
• Assists in quality assurance reviews for all disciplines.
• Handles the most complex issues; upholds company values.
• Other duties as assigned.
