Job summary

IMEG is hiring a Structural Engineering New Graduate in Fairfax, VA. This entry-level role offers hands-on design, analysis, and project execution experience, with mentorship and training to grow from day one.

You will support the development of structural systems and project documents, while working closely with experienced engineers and consultants to meet client expectations and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent.
• Master’s Degree required.
• Knowledge of design techniques for steel, concrete, wood, masonry structures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and analysis of structural systems using various materials and engineering software.
• Interact with clients to understand needs and communicate technical information.
• Support the execution of consulting projects as part of a project team.
• Assist with project planning and scheduling to meet deadlines.
• Document design decisions and monitor design progress.
• Analyze low to medium complexity tasks and propose practical solutions.
• Participate in IMEG quality control processes to meet standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in structural engineering.
• Prioritize safety and ethical standards in all work.
• Engage in full project life cycle from conception to construction; review submittals and observe sites.
• Work within the project budget and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
