Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Structural or Civil Engineering and 4–8 years of experience, with proficiency in reading drawings and coordinating across mechanical and structural trades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• 4–8 years of structural design experience, with exposure to mechanical equipment support and seismic bracing.
• Ability to read mechanical and structural construction documents.
• Strong coordination and communication across mechanical and structural trades.

Responsibilities

• Design equipment supports, housekeeping pads, and structural attachments for mechanical equipment.
• Perform seismic bracing and anchorage calculations for mechanical equipment and distribution systems per applicable code requirements.
• Coordinate structural loading of mechanical equipment with the structural engineer of record and general contractor.
• Review structural drawings for coordination with mechanical equipment weights, locations, and support requirements.
• Support site visits and field coordination to verify structural supports match mechanical equipment requirements.
• Review and respond to RFIs related to structural-mechanical coordination during construction.
• Ensure structural scope tied to mechanical systems complies with applicable building codes and seismic requirements.
