Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support HVAC, plumbing, and piping design under senior engineers in Austin. You will build foundational skills in system design, calculations, and construction documentation for new construction and renovations.

Responsibilities include assisting with design tasks, coordinating meetings, preparing layouts, and performing standard calculations with oversight.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• 0–4 years of experience in mechanical/HVAC design (EIT candidates encouraged).
• Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and/or plumbing design principles.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and plumbing construction documents with guidance.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with conceptual and detailed design tasks under senior engineer direction.
• Support design coordination meetings and follow-up items.
• Prepare preliminary design layouts and redlines to support estimating under senior review.
• Perform standard engineering calculations (loads, sizing, hydraulics) with senior oversight.
• Support site visits and field inspections for construction document verification.
• Assist with construction document production and coordination for small to mid-size projects.
• Learn and apply DSI design standards and QA/QC processes.
