Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our Material Handling Systems team. This role focuses on analysis, design, coordination, and documentation of structural systems supporting conveyors and platforms across fulfillment centers.

You will develop structural calculations, BIM models, and coordinated solutions, interfacing with equipment teams, fabricators, and SEORs to ensure code-compliant, constructible designs deployed nationwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of structural engineering experience.
• PE license in at least one US state.
• Experience with structural analysis and design of steel structures and connections.
• Proficiency in structural FEA software such as RISA.
• Knowledge of seismic design and lateral force-resisting systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural calculations and design documentation for material handling systems.
• Coordinate BIM models and permit documents.
• Design structural connections and bracing systems for conveyors and platforms.
• Perform structural analysis for equipment supports and platforms.
• Review vendor drawings and coordinate with SEOR and MEP teams.
