Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing in Taylor, Texas seeks an experienced Structural Engineer to support a major industrial project. You will review IFC drawings, shop drawings, calculations, and submittals while coordinating with Owners, EORs, contractors, fabricators, and field teams.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree with a structural emphasis and has proven experience with structural steel and reinforced concrete, plus knowledge of IBC/ASCE 7/AISC/ACI standards;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Engineering emphasis required.
• Experience on large-scale construction projects with structural emphasis needed.
• Familiarity with IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI standards required.

Responsibilities

• Review IFC structural drawings and calculations to support EOR.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and vendor deliverables for compliance.
• Coordinate with Owners, EORs, contractors, fabricators, and field teams; resolve RFIs and design clarifications.

We’re Hiring: Structural Engineer | Taylor, TX

We are recruiting an experienced Structural Engineer to support a major, large-scale construction project in Taylor, Texas.

This is an excellent opportunity for a structural engineering professional with experience in industrial, advanced manufacturing, mission-critical, semiconductor, or data center construction who enjoys working at the intersection of design and field execution.

What You’ll Do

• Review IFC structural drawings prepared by the Engineer of Record (EOR)
• Review structural shop drawings, calculations, submittals, and vendor deliverables
• Coordinate with Owners, EORs, contractors, fabricators, vendors, and construction teams
• Lead resolution of RFIs, design clarifications, field changes, and constructability issues
• Support structural steel, reinforced concrete, precast concrete, and specialty support systems
• Conduct field observations and address structural installation and quality issues
• Participate in coordination with Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Process teams
• Help keep engineering deliverables aligned with critical construction milestones

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Engineering emphasis
• Structural engineering experience on large-scale construction projects
• Strong experience with structural steel and reinforced concrete
• Knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI standards
• Experience coordinating between design teams and active construction operations
• Strong communication, technical coordination, and problem-solving skills

• Data centers or mission-critical facilities
• Advanced manufacturing or cleanroom environments
