Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Bridge Design & Structural Engineering Intern to join our Raleigh, North Carolina team. The role focuses on supporting bridge and structure design, load ratings, and inspections while gaining hands-on experience under experienced engineers.

You will work with our Bridge & Structures Professionals on conventional and complex projects, learning design, analysis, and field tasks in a mentored environment suited for students pursuing Civil Engineering with a structures emphasis.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structures focus.
• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus is preferred (within 2 years).
• Familiarity with design standards and codes is welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Support bridge and structure design tasks.
• Assist with load ratings and inspections.
• Contribute to design analyses and field tasks under guidance of engineers.
• Learn from Project Engineers and Project Managers on active projects.
