Job summary

Campos EPC in San Diego is seeking a structural engineer to perform analysis and coordinate design for steel, concrete, and foundations. You will develop calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports while applying ASCE 7, IBC, AISC, and ACI standards.

Collaboration with civil, geotechnical, mechanical, piping, electrical, and process teams is essential. The role requires a ABET-accredited Civil or Structural Engineering degree with 2–5+ years of experience and proficiency in AutoCAD,

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil/structural engineering degree is required.
• 2–5+ years of structural engineering experience with design exposure.
• Design experience in structural steel and/or concrete is preferred.
• EIT certification is a plus and beneficial for progression.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, RISA-3D, STAAD Pro and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and coordinate detailed designs for steel, concrete, and foundation systems.
• Develop calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Apply codes including ASCE 7, IBC, AISC, ACI; coordinate with multiple disciplines.
• Aide senior engineers on large facility projects.
• Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and support construction phase.
• Minimal field time; some travel may be required.

• Develop structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports
• Apply applicable codes and standards including ASCE 7, IBC, AISC, and ACI. Coordinate structural designs with civil, geotechnical, mechanical, piping, electrical, and process disciplines
• Aide senior engineers in support of large facility projects
• Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide construction phase support
• Minimal field time and/or travel is expected but may be required at times

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited program
• 2-5+ Years of experience
• Design experience or courses in structural steel and/or concrete design.
• EIT certification preferred
• Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Experience using the following software required: AutoCAD, RISA-3D, STAAD Pro, Mathcad, L-Pile, Bluebeam, Navisworks, and Excel
• Experience with industry standards such as: ASCE 7, IBC, AISC and ACI

Salary Range: Engineer Level 2- $87K - $110K
