Job summary

Amentum seeks a Consulting Structural Engineer I for our Englewood, CO office to provide engineering guidance, calculations, and studies within project scope and budget. You will prepare drawings, lead teams, and present results to clients and management.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 10+ years of experience, PE license, and strong knowledge of AISC 360, ASCE 7, IBC, and ACI 318. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• US citizen required.
• BS degree in engineering or sciences from a four-year accredited college or university.
• PE license required.
• 10+ years of professional experience in a discipline or specialty.
• In-depth knowledge of AISC 360, ASCE 7, IBC, ACI 318.
• Experience with STAAD.Pro, ANSYS, MathCad, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, reviews and approves drawings.
• Leads groups of engineers and designers.
• Develops and documents calculations.
• Prepares and documents economic analyses and studies.
• Presents findings to client and management.
• Interprets codes and permitting related to discipline.
• Reviews vendor documents for accuracy.
• Ensures quality and completeness of tasks.
