Job summary

ASR International Corporation in Puget Sound – Bremerton Area, WA seeks a Structural Engineer to provide design technical support for NAVFAC Northwest, performing structural analysis and reviews for building and waterfront structures on DoD projects.

Collaborate with multi-discipline teams and government clients, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with UFC, IBC and ASCE 7; requires a civil engineering degree with a structural focus and at least six years of experience.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required and ability to pass T1 background check.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus from an accredited program.
• Minimum of six (6) years of design management and/or design experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of structural design using concrete, steel, and masonry.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of vertical and lateral force-resisting systems, retaining structures, utility structures, and waterfront structures (piers, wharves, etc.).
• Review designs, calculations, RFIs, submittals, and design changes for compliance with DoD UFC, IBC, ASCE 7, and project requirements.
• Apply innovative technical principles to resolve structural design issues.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline teams, government clients, and stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports, recommendations, and meeting documentation.
• Support weekly and monthly status reporting.
