Job summary

ASR International Corporation seeks a Geotechnical Engineer to provide design technical support for NAVFAC Northwest, focusing on foundations, retaining structures, and waterfront facilities in the Puget Sound area.

The role involves office and field consultation, reviewing geotechnical reports, and delivering technical recommendations to project teams, with opportunities to contribute to design and construction across DoD waterfront projects.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required; ability to pass security background check.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of six years of relevant design or design management experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; AutoCAD experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform office and field consultation/monitoring of projects involving foundations and waterfront structures.
• Review geotechnical reports, designs, calculations, and submittals for compliance with UFC/IBC/ASCE7 and project requirements.
• Provide technical recommendations on foundation systems and soil conditions.
• Coordinate with structural, civil, and other discipline engineers.
• Prepare technical reports, observations, and recommendations.
• Support project status reporting and documentation.
