Job summary

Schaefer is seeking a Project Engineer with a BS in Civil or Architectural Engineering to lead structural design on diverse projects. The role involves detailing code-compliant structures, managing costs, and building strong client relationships.

Familiarity with RAM Structural System and related tools is preferred. MS preferred and EIT certification are desirable, with internship experience valuable for early career professionals.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Architectural Engineering; MS preferred.
• Structural engineering experience in building design; intern or co-op considered.
• EIT certification.

Responsibilities

• Design and detail efficient structures that are code compliant, accurate and high quality.
• Act as the Project Engineer on multiple projects that vary in size and complexity.
• Develop skills in RAM Structural System, RAM Elements, RAM Concept, MathCAD and RISA 3D.
• Manage project cost through effective planning and prioritization.
• Develop strong client relationships.
