Job summary

Jobot is seeking Senior to Mid Level Structural Engineers to join our team on commercial projects. The role involves leading a structural engineering group to develop and review design deliverables, manage schedules, and produce construction documents using Revit.

Projects span commercial buildings, theme parks, healthcare, aviation, high-rise and more across the US. Strong BIM, communication, and client collaboration skills are essential; EIT/PE is desired, with hybrid work options in Orlando.

Qualifications

• 6-10+ years of structural engineering design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering (ABET accredited).
• Experience with concrete, masonry, steel and wood systems.
• EIT or PE license desired.
• Proficiency in Revit, ETABS, SAP, SAFE, RAM, ADAPT, RISA and Enercalc.
• Ability to schedule and manage structural tasks; knowledge of costs.
• Experience leading moderate to complex projects and client interactions.
• Strong written and verbal communication; BIM experience with Revit workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead and delegate development of system layouts, calculations, and reports.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and participate in meetings.
• Develop structural solutions from concept through construction.
• Produce construction documents using Revit.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and clients in a integrated design process.
• Adapt to varying codes and construction practices across the US.
• Mentor entry-level staff.

Structural Engineer EIT/PE (Commercial Projects) Hybrid

We are seeking Senior to Mid Level Structural Engineers to join our Team. Responsibilities include developing and guiding a structural engineering team to produce construction documents using Revit and managing project schedules to meet deliverable requirements. Project include a variety of Commercial Buildings, Theme Parks, Federal, Entertainment, Healthcare, Aviation, High-Rise, Multi-Family, etc.

Qualifications

• 6-10+ years of Structure Engineering Design experience with Engineering Consulting Firm, Design/Build Firm, or AEC Industry.
• Bachelors Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, ABET Accredited
• Buildings Structural Engineering experience, including the Design of Concrete, Masonry, Steel, Wood Materials; Gravity & Lateral Systems.
• EIT or PE License Desired
• Software Proficiency in Revit, ETABS, SAP, SAFE, RAM, ADAPT, RISA, Enercalc
• Ability to schedule and manage tasks for the structural discipline; - Knowledge of construction costs
• Experience managing moderate to complex projects and / or functioning as the secondary point of contact on larger projects
• Demonstrated success in technical / formal communication with clients and staff
• Proven ability to represent the structural discipline at meeting
• Experience with BIM including Autodesk Revit workflow.
• Goal oriented with strong skills in problem solving, creativity, and attention to detail.
• Understanding of commercial building materials, systems, and assemblies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with directing and coordinating project activities of junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead & Delegate the development of system layouts, narratives, calculations, and engineering reports.
• Assist contractors by reviewing shop drawings, RFIs and participating in O/A/C meetings.
• Developing structural solutions from concept through construction.
• Produce construction documents using Revit.
• Collaboration with architects, other engineers, and clients as part of our integrated design process.
• Adapt to variations in building codes and construction practices while working on projects around the US.
• Mentoring entry-level staff.
