Job summary

Brown + Kubican, PSC in Lexington, KY is seeking a Structural Engineer to design and detail building structures, independently and as part of a team. You will coordinate with other design professionals and Principals, select structural systems, perform analyses, and develop construction drawings and specifications.

Requirements include a MS in Structural Engineering, 4+ years’ experience in building design, Professional Engineer registration, familiarity with design codes, RAM or RISA, and REVIT

Qualifications

• MS in Structural Engineering required.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in design of building structures.
• Professional Engineer Registration required.
• Experience with steel, concrete, masonry, and timber design.
• Familiar with design codes.
• Experience producing construction drawings and specifications.
• RAM or RISA experience.
• REVIT proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and detail building structures independently and as part of a team.
• Liaise between other design professionals and Principals.
• Select structural systems and framing concepts.
• Perform all necessary analysis and design calculations.
• Develop construction drawings and specifications.
• Self-perform drafting and written texts.
• Review shop drawings and contractor’s work during construction.
