Job summary

HDR is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services group. This role supports design across Kentucky and Tennessee offices, focusing on data centers and commercial facilities.

You will lead analysis, documentation, and coordination with multiple disciplines to deliver resilient, efficient structures. We value professional licensure and hands‑on project experience at an engineering consulting firm, with strong software proficiency and collaborative

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
PE license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
3+ years of structural engineer experience.
Experience with architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firms and with structural software.

Responsibilities

Design buildings for Data Centers, including new builds, retrofits, and colocations.
Review structural documents for conflicts with other disciplines.
Coordinate the structural design team through design development and contract documents.
Prepare and edit structural specifications, select procedures, materials and sizes, and complete calculations.
Coordinate with governing agencies for code compliance and participate in reviews.
