Job summary

HDR is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services group. The role supports data center projects and may be based in Kentucky or Tennessee offices.

You will lead structural design efforts through development and document phases, coordinating with multiple disciplines and ensuring code compliance. Preferred qualifications include a Civil/Structural Engineering degree and a PE license, plus at least three years of relevant experience in a consulting

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering with structural emphasis.
• PE license or eligibility.
• Experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.

Responsibilities

• Design buildings for Data Centers, including new builds, retrofits, and colocations.
• Review structural documents for conflicts with other disciplines.
• Write and edit structural specifications, select procedures, materials and sizes, and perform calculations.
• Coordinate the structural design team through development and construction document phases.
• Coordinate with governing agencies for code compliance.
