Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Full-Time Consultant Structural Engineer for our New York, NY office. You will perform professional structural engineering tasks, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and contribute to design, research, and project development for buildings and infrastructure.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Structural or Civil Engineering, 3–5 years of experience, and an Engineer in Training certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or closely related discipline
• 3–5 years of post-education engineering experience with design experience
• Engineer in Training Certification
• Knowledge of structural engineering principles and design/build processes
• Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management

Responsibilities

• Collect, compile, and analyze data from sites, surveys, blueprints, GIS data and maps for project development
• Perform professional structural engineering work and assist with research and inspections of site conditions
• Incorporate advanced modeling techniques and design requirements for safety and functionality
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, planners on project work to guide construction and material selection
• Prepare technical reports and drawings, ensuring adherence to regulations and permits
• Support development and scoping of small- to medium-sized projects
